Green roofs

What did we do?
Work methods
The green roofs theme was one of the themes in the Poznán pilot course. The working was based on study visits. First, we gave students some information about low carbon society in general and site-specifically. But the main idea behind the methods was the real-life case study visits. These visits should give students information and tools to do a project proposal to which promotes building in a low carbon manner.
This project proposal was the final study outcome of the group. The idea was that these proposals were site-specific and based on what was learnt during the course.
Resources
This kind of intensive case study based study has some demands. First, you should arrange enough basic information about the topic and work methods for students. Secondly, you get some non-academic partners to give lectures on site-specific low carbon actions. And third, you should organize some real-life case study visits for students.
Outcomes
In the Poznán pilot course, one of the groups were focused on the green roofs. They made a proposal on how to promote green roofs in the Poznán are. Check out their proposal.
Here you can also check their proposal in a form of a word document.
